YOU SHOULD BE PUMPING ?

Cotton Candy is "WONDERFUL"

Jake's story by Judy Brooks jb120254@comcast.net - by Lisa Osborn LOzzy3@aol.com

Jake Brooks Jake was diagnosed at age 10, after struggling with aching joints, tiredness, and the incredible thirst that warns of Diabetes.

Jake started pumping August 8, 2001. Jake chose the Minimed 508. It is like another birthday when your child gets to be a child again. Less worries and more freedom. All was going great, when you add in the new pump, puberty that started early, acne problem, and starting junior high, until about 4weeks ago, he started complaining of headaches and stomach aches. After checking him out with his GP and his Endo, nothing was found except stress. We are battling getting him to school, he has tons of makeup work to catch up on. But when all is said and done, we asked Jake last night, how he felt about the pump, not wanting the pump to be the culprit to the stress. He told us... I will keep the pump, I like it now, it has lots of benefits. Then he went on to include the sleeping in, eating second fillings, and a treat now and then, like his much loved Cotton Candy. He says that a 2 square inch of Cotton Candy is WONDERFUL!

I would be more than happy to talk/chat/help anyone ... Judy Brooks, Mom to Jake 13yr, pumping from August 2001 jb120254@comcast.net
