It's officially a sport. It's now officially referred to as "Dancesport" and
will be part of the nextOlympics as a demonstration sport.
You certainly have to be fit to dance 2 minutes of Jive, let alone a 14 hour
day of competiting! A professional ballroom dancer has to be far fitter
than, say, a professional football player.
