[IPk] DLA
Hi guys why is everyone getting soo upset over DLA. My mum and I applied for it
but diddn't get it even though it meant that my mum missed out on work because
she was looking after me. I am nearly twenty one and my flat mates look after me
now I have two alarms a night. Just also to say that DKA can happen very quickly
as can hypo comas. The DLA would have come in handy for me as it would have
compensated for my mum only able to work part time as a result of me and as some
compensation to my flat mates who go into uni every day knackered as well as me.
Having a pump is far better than being on injections but I would far rather be
on CGM as well. But I only just managed to get funding for an old style pump
never mind the new ones that many people have. It really is a post code lottery
and the money comes in handy to anyone so if its available why not ask for it?
