Re: [IPk] Disability Living Allowance
Hi Marc
I think it is the same for almost everyone, diabetic or not! If you eat
rubbish, you feel rubbish! That's why sportsmen take great care of their
health and their diet. All my (nonDM) friends say the same, if they eat
rubbish, they feel less energetic and have other problems.
Healthy food doesn't have to be expensive though! Well of course it
depends what you compare it to. Home-cooked meals vs ready meals can be
a lot cheaper. Using beans and cheap in season veg instead of lots of
meat can save a lot, for example. Semi-skimmed milk is no more expensive
than full fat milk. But of course fruit and vegetables are more
expensive than living off Marmite on toast...... It annoys me when
people just say "I can't eat healthily because it's too expensive". I
know you're not one of those people :-)
