[IPk] Sasha's clinic visit

Clinic today. Sasha's HbA1c was 5.6 after 6 months pumping. Before we
started pumping Sasha's HbA1c was around 7.3

I fully expect this to change bit when the teenage years kick in. The
clinic seemed extremely pleased with us, with is a total contrast to our old
clinic when we were berated when once Sasha had a A1c of 5.9 which was
during a 6 month period of hypos and low blood sugar due to coeliac which
the clinic didnt diagnose.

I asked about retinal scanning and eye tests today and were told that they
only did them for children over 16. I am sure that this isn't correct. I
thought it said in the NICE guidance over 16 or earlier if you have had
diabetes for over 6 years. Sasha will have had diabetes for 7 years in
April. I will have to check.

The hospital did mention the new Guardian RT. Just to mention it looked
interesting. I wonder how much its going to cost and how much the sensors
will be. No doubt it will be hugely expensive
