RE: [IPk] Gluten free foods

Well, she could be underweight because of swinging blood sugars. If she's
dumping sugar in her urine regularly, that will impact her weight - because
the calories will be leaving the body rather than being used. This is one of
the stated reasons why adolescent girls often don't take their insulin -
high BGs engender weight loss.

But in Sasha's case, the improved control of a pump might allow her to both
eat less _and_ gain weight. Additionally, I'm under the impression that
uncared-for coeliac disease can lead to weight loss - but someone would have
to confirm that.
