I have used a Minimed 507c for 16 months and have been very pleased with the
quality so far.  I chose the 507c because it uses batteries I can buy almost
anywhere.  Minimed also says that the pump will run 10 to 12 hours after a
low battery warning.  The Disetronic rep I spoke to said the pump would stop
about 4 hours after the low battery warning.  Not much good for a commuter
who is far from home and cant buy the special Disetronic batteries just
anywhere!
