I'm much the same. At my last consultant visit I admitted that my hypo warning
signs were less than they used to be just by answering questions honestly. She
wrote this in my notes and said she would be obliged to pass this on when my
licence comes up for renewal next April. Really worried me as to the impact on
my licence. So over the next few weeks I increased my BG target on the pump and
avoided so may hypos and I get slightly better warning now. Not much but enough
for me to honestly tell her at my next clinic in September that my warning signs
are now improved and 'please write this in my notes too'!!

Spoke to my consultant on Wednesday last week.
My driving licence was up for renewal. He has written to DVLA ( At my
request - because I will be eligible for a disabled bus pass) to say that he
feels that I am unsafe to drive. It just makes me want to cry. And question
was I too honest in answering the question about 'disabling Hypoglycaemic
