[IPk] First time travel with pump

Hi everyone,
I've just returned from my first trip abroad, flying with my pump. I was a
little nervous after all the discussion on this list. We flew Manchester to
Perpignan, France. I had mustered all medical evidence etc but am pleased to
report I had absolutely no problems whatsoever. I followed all the guidelines
making sure all hand luggage was in one bag, with liquids/gels etc in a clear
plastic bag. I did not announce that I was diabetic and carrying medication (as
I have never done so)and no-one quizzed me or even knew I was wearing a pump.
Hope others are as lucky as me.
We spent a week cycling and hill-walking and having the pump was a bonus. My
only difficulty was estimating the carb content of the delicious 2-scoop
'artisanal' ice creams - by the fourth consecutive day I was getting close!
