By all means! You might want to take it off if you were going to spar with 
someone, just because you might get a bruise if the pump got kicked when you 
took a kick to the abdomen, but then again you might want to take the pump 
off. Many of us find we need less insulin when we work out because physical 
activity burns glucose. Some people find they need more insulin while they 
exercise, but if you're one of those and you didn't want to wear the pump 
while exercising, it would probably be fine to disconnect for the workout 
and take a correction bolus when you had finished.

I could never exercise safely before I got a pump: I always went hypo. On my 
pump, I have a hypo during exercise maybe 15% of the time, and usually when 
I had planned on finishing anyway!

Pumps are made of the kind of plastic used for American football 
helmets...we're more likely to break under force than they are.
