Re: [IPk] I've started the ball rolling

Babs

My Dr. at the hospital was the one who told me about these pumps and he gave
me information on two pumps and I chose the Minimed 508

then after talking to the nurse on the phone about the start of the pump she
got hold of my hospital and arranged for a room and them we met I also had a
nurse from the hospital sitting in with us because they wanted to know more
about the pump.

After ordering the pump and waiting for it to be delivered, then I got on
the phone to Minimed and told them I had it and because of work I had to
wait two weeks and on the first visit with the nurse I was installed on the
pump but with water in it, just for me to get use to the pump and a week of
practice on it the Monday later we meet up again and i started with the
insulin in the pump.

I was dead nervous but I got through it, hope this helps

How long did it take from start to finish once everyone had agreed a date to

be involved in the meeting at the hospital?
