Re: [IPk] Re: glucowatch

Hi Liam

I haven't seen the Panic Room myself. So I dont know how "bad" the girl was
but in the first couple of years with diabetes Sasha now aged 8 had a least 5
seizures in the night at about 4.30 to 5.00 am. Totally terrifying events
never to be forgotten. We asked to take her off Mixtard 30 because it was too
much of the longer acting insulin causing this to happen. Mixtard 40 didnt
work either.

I have had to administer glucagon.

She now has Novorapid and Insulatard and although she hasn't had anymore
nocturnal fits we have still caught a few lows in the night. After the
seizures happened we check every night at some point.
