Re: [IPk] Anyone who use the D-Tron

Hello Ingrid,

I am a D-tron user, and without predjudice, I have to say that they really
are as good as the publicity.
The major advantage is that you can fit everything necessary to change the
cartridge into your pocket - the relief of not having to fill cartridges is
amazing.
I find the vibrations and different bleep signals (whose volume can be
adjusted to suit, from 0 upwards) very useful - especially at Pump-IT
meetings when there are a lot of Pump users in a room together, eating - you
can imagine the chaos!
I have had my D-tron for about 6 weeks, and am loving it. There are a lot
of features I haven't even looked at yet, but I managed the basic pump
operation within a couple of minutes! Another advantage I find is that you
can program the pump without turning it off - useful for temporary basal
rates, square wave boluses etc.
And just to finish off, the event memory is fantastic - without downloading
it into a PC, which of course you can do, you can look at your insulin
dosage over the previous 7 days.
Sorry to go on, but I'm a bit of an enthusiast - it could be worse, I could
be a train spotter... (or marmite muncher!),

Hope this helps,

Kate Clapham
