Re: [IPk] Insurance

Insurance is meant to cover you against accidental loss or damage, and would
not help on breakdowns in any event. If you have a problem with your pump
then we will send a replacement while this is investigated. There are only
any charges if the pump has to be returned to the USA for repair after the
warranty period.

The recent loss on holiday occurred when everything was burgled from the
hotel room while the user was off sunning on the beach.

we also had a pump stolen from a house during a burglary while the user had
disconected it for a 'rest'. So it can happen. It need not cost any more to
insure on many household policies.

As an update on my earlier posting on this topic we now have had
confirmation that the holiday insurance (Norwich Union) will be paying for
the stolen pump. So it was certainly worthwhile.
