[IPk] Pain in hands

Hi

I went to the doctor today expecting to be told I had returning Rheumatoid
Arthrities which I was diagnosed with by a diabetic clinic in the 1970s.
Instead I was told by the GP that he didn't think I had actually suffered
from this and it had probably6 been a mistake.

I have a ring finger on the right hand which keeps locking and hurts to
release. The middle finger on the left hand also hurts and a lot of the
finger skin feels burning. He diagnosed 1) a trigger finger, 2) Dupuytren's
Syndrome and 3) diabetic neuropathy. Whatever I have it hurts and I have
pains elsewhere which he says are common for a woman of my age (67). I have
had diabetes for 48 years and been on the pump for 7 years so I thought I
had my problems under control.

I was thinking of getting a medicine called Joint Vitality. This is for
arthritis and joint pain but have had this diagnosis and no suggestions for
help from the GP, I wondered if anyone else here has similar problems and
can tell me if they have done anything to help the problem. Hd did mention
a operation for the trigger finger but did not sound overkeen I should try
this. I hope someone can offer a suggestion. Thanks in advance.
