RE: [IPk] NICE guidelines (was Naive question)

I got funding recently and I have a hb1ac of 6.5. I have been on the pump
for 5 years and just managed to achieve funding. I also have never gone on
glargine. Apparently I didnt satisfy all the guidelines, but my consultant
was very proactive in getting it sorted for me. I also happened to be the
1st person in my PCT to get funding. I am actually getting a new pump now
called the paradigm totally free!!!

I'd write to your doctor, asking to see the copy of the notes he made
about his advice _not_ to put you on glargine last year. If it was
right not to do it then, it's almost certainly right not to do it now.
