Re: [IPk] Blackpool pump trials

Hi Diana!
I don't know anything about earlier pump trials at Blackpool Victoria
Hospital and maybe you are only referring to the adult clinic there, but my
daughter Nicola is 10 years old and was put onto the MiniMed pump in
November last year by Dr. P.Curtis the Paediatric Consultant there.
It was a bit of a battle getting him to agree to try it, but when all else
failed to stabilise her and stop her fitting during the night he gave in and
gave us the go ahead.
Now converted, he agrees it was the best thing we could have done for her.
Another victory! The paediatric unit has even paid for the pump!
The supplies are another matter, I am currently waiting to hear from the
Chief Executive regarding those.
