Re: [IPk] Tegaderm

Hi Wendy
Tegederm as far I'm aware Tegederm comes as a clear patch, it doesn't come in
sprays...B I always thought with pumpers it was used as more of a barrier
from the adhesive on the infusion sets rather than to tackle or prevent
infection...B It does have some ingredients that help with healing as it is
used in elderly care setting a lot to protect and/or treat pressure sore and
other types of wounds....
As far as I'm aware Tegederm is POM (prescription only medication) and not
over the counter type...
Hope this helps a little

Subject: [IPk] Tegaderm

Hi All
B Can any of you please enlighten me more on the 'Tegaderm,'
advantages/disadvantages and what form it comes in e.g., spray, cream etc.,
helpful is it re: keeping at bay site infections even after taking the
and usual preventative measures, infections as we all know, can still
occur. Also, is it available on prescription???? I would appreciate your
feedback - thanks
