Just a comment on Jackie's post on the 'fixed' duration of 8 hrs
compared to 'normal practice' of around 3 or 4 hours.  

The 'fixed' duration is of a real curve - i.e. most activity in the
first few hours, little activity as you get to hour 7 or 8.  The self-
determined curves (on Animas and Cozmo) are not 'curves' but 'durations'
- you are assumed to be getting the same insulin in hour 1 as in the
last hour you set.

So don't think the earlier Medtronic pumps are worthless! (see, I can
write nice things about them!!!)  They just work differently.

Of course, ideallly, one would want to be able to imput a curve, not a
duration!
