Re: [IPk] Minimed Update

Hello ,
Just a note from us all at Minimed to officially inform you that we are all
still here and business is functioning as usual .

Until now Medtronic did not have a diabetes business and so Minimed will
become the diabetes unit of Medtronic .

Our manufacturing plant and headoffice in California will remain .

One positive aspect for pump users and those with diabetes is that Medtronic
is very interested in the glucose sensor programme , both the sc sensor [ CGMS
] and long term IV sensor and together we will continue to develop the
artificial pancreas but with greater combined resources and man -power .

Exciting times !

As users you should see benefit and progress from this structural change and
supplies of current products will continue as before .

Best wishes

Morag
