Re: [IPk] Is DM one big joke?

Hi Abigail
I've had DM for 16 years. My HbA1c has been 9.9 for the last two tests(6
months). They are very happy with this result as I never used to get under
14 or something, but I feel even this result is at the cost of the rest of
my life and is still way to high.
My sugar levels seem totally erratic but on average are 14 to 25. I think I
have hypos almost every night but rarely wake up for them. I have Large
ketones nearly every day of my life first thing which go down steadily in
the day but will rise again by late evening/early morning. Whether I eat or
not my blood rise to about 15/17 for tea time.
The only other thing is I constantly go from one infection to another, from
skin infections, abscess' and "viral" infections.
As for the last time I felt well, I simply can't remember, it brings tear to
my eyes just thinking about that...
i 'm a doctors nightmare probably as I have kept extensive records of
all of this over the last 3 years but they say it's too much information.
