Re: [IPk] Query re mega bloating

Sorry to but in, but congestive heart failure (CCF) normally comes with
increasing shortness of breath that can sometimes make it difficult to walk,
or to carry out daily, you can actually hear the fluid around the lungs if the
CCF is quite bad.

If there is additional bloating and extra fluid, what is the renal function
like? ie creatinine and urea?

As we know, Diabetes has it's complications and one being renal function.
Anyhow, hope all is fine and the doc gets to the bottom of it.

Hi Rhoda,

That's what came to my mind as well, but since I'm not a doctor and even if I
was medically qualified couldn't make more than a guess without medical
records and lots more info about you I didn't want to scare you.

Hope all goes well at the GP's and it's just a minor inconvenience for you!

Hi Rhoda

The first thing that popped into my head when you mentioned the
bloating in several locations was congestive heart failure. I do hope
that's not what it is, but it should be investigated especially if you
have any of the other symptoms:

A GP may think of CHF for a type 2 more readily than he or she would
look for it in a type 1, but it can happen in type 1s.

Take care
let us know how you get on
