Thank you very much for your reply about CareLink and the information you

Hi Anna,

I'm also a Mac user. I'm currently using Carelink software which is
compatible with Mac in the US but has not been approved (and is not
available) in the UK. I e-mailed Medtronic about when it might be released
here, but received no reply! I have managed to get it to work by
downloading virtual box (which is free unlike parallels) and installing
windows on that. Getting it to work with the Carelink USB is not that
straightforward, but I did eventually manage (after googling what others
had done).

Hope you find a solution that works,

Hi Mary and Melissa.
Thank you for your replies. I was hoping to find a new meter that I can use
without the
expense of adding Windows and Parallels.
I contacted Medtronic about not being able to upload to CareLink. They
me that
currently it is only up and running for Mac in the USA, but will shortly be
available here.
Medtronic have promised to email me when it is released here. I will let
everyone know,
when I get the good news!
I'll wait and see if anyone comes up with a meter I can use purely with Mac.

Thank you.

I have recently purchased a new Apple Mac computer, but discover that I
download my BGs any longer. The software is not compatible. Have contacted
the manufacturer, who apologise, but do not provide software for Mac use, and
cannot help. I currently use OneTouch made by LifeScan, which I am very
with, and feel sad that I shall have to change.

For those of you who use Mac computers, do you know which of the BG meter
manufacturers are compatible.

Many thanks.

Hi Anna
Have you looked into getting Parallels so you can run Windows on the Mac?

I use a MAc with Parallels with my Optium meter but can't get Windows to
recognise the connections. I have been told that VMware is better for running
The Medtronic Carelink is now compatible with the Mac for uploads, but
get my meter to work with it.
