RE: [IPk] Celebrating (groan) 17 Years on Insulin

I have had type 1 diabetes for 29 years & have been using a pump for a year
now. I have no complications but am as fed up as the rest of you with the
disease & its consequences.

Hi I am interested as to who has had T1 Diabetes the longest amongst us as
they could probably be in the Guinness book of records for having the most
injections ever the last time I looked it was an American woman but that was
probable about 15 years ago.

Mike,

I've also passed a milestone, my 47th year as a T1 diabetic. If you've been
on Monotard all that time try Humalog, perhaps with a pump. I've just
started pumping and I wish this was available (with today's technology) 40
years ago. I recommend it.
