Re: [IPk] new pumper

I found the same as you did after starting on the pump. I was using much less Humalog initially but after a while I had to increase my intake to keep me going. I must say however that I did not have to go back to the same levels as pre pump.
Keep going though as you will find that once you become accustomed to the pump you will find that you will be able to control your insulin intake to suit what type of food you want to eat or maybe not eat as the humour takes you.
I hope I am making some sense to you.

Subject: [IPk] new pumper

After an initial insulin reduction when I started on a pump last week, I am now back to my pre-pump dose - is this usual?  The first few days were pretty good, but I'm having problems with my control now - am I being too impatient?  Thanks in advance,
