 A complete in-depth study comparing the accuracy and variation for 43 meters
was published in 2012

 Check out figures 1 and 2. There are huge differences between the accuracy and
also the confidence intervals for different meters. Some do poorly and others do
very much better than the CE standard requiring +/- 20% accuracy at the 95%
confidence intervals. The Abbot Freestyle Lite and Freedom Lite (and some of the
Roche/Accuchek meters) do particularly well. On the basis of this study I have
chosen to use a Freedom Lite.
