Re: [IPk] pasta bolus

Marion,

It was for six days but there were periods when it failed to register
readings. ( The log indicated noise interference ???) We didn't change the
site and that did make things quite tricky with the pump because we can only
use Edwards bottom which is tiny, so we're quite restricted- he needs
fattening up!

I graph the BG readings I take and unfortunately, even with around fourteen
readings a day the CGMS showed that I was missing quite a few hypos and
hypers. So it's back to the drawing board with some of the basals and a
re-think about long acting carb bolus's. It's just as well I don't work
because this is becoming a full time job! If I got paid overtime I'd be
minted!!!

I noticed you asked someone on the CWD site about CGMS. We had one just
before Edward started on the pump (the results of which were put forward as
the main reason for him needing a pump) and then again last week. The dsn
suggested again in two weeks, but I'd like to leave it a little longer to
try out a few changes. It is a vital tool, I think, to understanding cause
and effect especially with Edward who can't yet communicate very well how he
is feeling.
