Hi Adrian,

It happens even if you're eating enough carbs. At some stage, to some 
extent, nearly anything that you can put in your mouth can be converted to 
glucose. Whether this has any consequences for glycemic control has been 
debated:

Isn't it a case of if you don't eat enough Carbs for your body's
requirements then both fat and protein are converted to glucose?
