Re: [IPk] anthropological/sociological studies on type 1 DM?

Hi Nanette,

I've not come across anything other than psychological/medical
approaches - an anthropological approach would be interesting! My
interest in the material clutter - sorry, material culture of disability
continues to take a back seat to other stuff.....

Your daughter would be best doing an online search of a specialist
database - something like the Web of Science?? If her university has a
medical, psychology or other health-related department, it would be
best, I think, for her to drop an email or call the subject specialist
librarian and ask her or him what databases are available.

I did a search on Jstor (uk.jstor.org) under anthropology and sociology
for diabetic or diabetes and got 12 articles. In full text search there
were more than 200.

Cheers,

Pat
