Thank you Stephen - someone from Ypsomed phoned me back and after resetting
my PDM ( must carry a pin in future!) it is now working again - hallelujah!
Strips within date and correctly used so apparently ' just one of those
things' though they did say that they could get a replacememt out to me if
I have further problems
Panic over :-D
