Hi Pat,

Under normal circumstances you would be able to change your pump when the 
4yr warranty has expired.

However, if your existing pump is no longer doing it's job for you, for 
whatever reason, there would be a case for changing it now. You would need 
to discuss the matter with your consultant. It is within his/her power to 
have your pump changed.

Remember, the final decision for all funding, or provision of insulin pumps 
rests with the consultant, not the PCT.
