Re: [IPk] Advice Needed

Hello,

If you are brewing a cold or other infection, it would send your blood sugar
up - have you tried an increased basal rate??

Have you checked that the site is ok - I have problems because my stomach is
covered in stretch marks and the insulin is not absorbed through scar
tissue. This means that I might have to change the infusion site several
times before I find a spot that will absorb the insulin...

I would try an increased basal of about +40% and see what happens over the
next couple of hours - the beauty of the pump is that you can experiment
until you find out what works - just keep your blood machine and the
lucozade handy!

Hope this helps,

Kate
