Hi Ingrid -

Good luck with your journey - and I hope it's not too long.

In reply to your original question, you must have a doctor's permission to
buy a pump - so you may still have to seek out a clinic that supports pump
therapy - and it is unlikely that the junior doctor at the clinic will be
allowed to consent to such things :-)

MiniMed and Disetronic have their own pump trainers who like where possible
to be involved in your training, so you have to fit a starting sesssion in
with their diaries as well.
