Re: [IPk] Travel insurance
Just to show how variable buying travel insurance can be: I just bought a
policy from a US-based insurer, Travel Guard, on-line and there were no
questions in the on-line form regarding my health status. There is a
pre-existing condition exclusion that can be waived either by buying the the
policy within 15 days of the initial deposit paid for the travel, or by
proof that the condition was 'controlled' for 180 days before the trip.
I wonder how UK insurers can get away with the kind of discrimination
against people with diabetes that they so blatantly practice. It's
disgusting!!!
