Re: [IPk] Exercise question

Hi Victor,

Good on you for getting going - that's the hard part as they say like flying a
jumbo, takes the most effort to get off the ground!

If you're going straight for interval training, doing 6x3 hard sets, I'd be
more inclined to start gentler than that, with constant resistance and time.
When I first got back into regular training in 1996 after years doing nothing,
I started in my house on an excercise bike, then doing some basic press ups
and sit ups.

To begin with I did 5 mins a day weekdays with weekends off, then took it up a
minute every 2 days, stopped for about a week at 10 and 15 mins, until I built
it up to doing 35 mins. Same with the others - started at 5 each and built up
to sets of 40x3 press ups and a single burst of situps - managed to get up to
120. I then started going to the gym with weights.

With every good wish,

Iain.

Some advice please from the exercise gurus amongst you.
I started exercising a few weeks ago and I am doing 6x 3mins with 3mins
break
on a xtrainer every day and its getting more difficult in so much as my legs
just can't move by the end. Bear in mind I am 52 and not done anything for
ages.
I am trying to lose weight and get fit.
Any tips would be very much appreciated.
