Hi Melissa
You're pretty much right. Actually John Neale and I built the UK website 
together, and since his death, I've been responsible for it. However, 
the site is part of the main US site and therefore relies primarily on 
the technology underlying that (for example, everything to do with 
accessing the members only site (archives, members list etc) is managed 
by Michael who runs the US site. So the only parts that are really under 
our control are the main web pages of the UK site (ie, the content 
rather than the mechanisms underlying it).
So, in answer to David, the simple answer is that the content of the 
main pages can be easily updated, but the underlying mechanisms (search 
etc) can't.
