Some people can  have remission periods which last 5 years or longer in some
cases.  Average length of time is  about 6 months or so.  Usually the younger a
child is the less time they are in remission.    Very young babies and toddlers
tend to have a very short remission period.  Young adults are likely to have
much longer remission periods.
