RE: [IPp] Weight Gain

I've never seen a fat type 1 either, but now that people have better control,
and use insulin more efficiently, I'm thinking it's going to become more
common.
Emma still has chubby spots, although she's getting leaner. I know that when I
see super skinny Type 1's, I always suspect they are either on a strict diet
and
2 shots a day, or they run their sugars high and don't absorb the calories. Out
of all my kids, Emma's probably the least lean.

This is only my opinion...but I have never seen an overweight type 1
Diabetic. I always thought that type 1's were mostly on the lean side. I have
heard of kids gaining weight after being diagnosed or after finally getting
good

control to make up for the pounds lost or not put on before diagnosis. Again,
I
could be wrong, but this is what I've seen. I wouldn't worry about the weight
gain right now, I'd just be happy about having good control.
