Re: [IPp] Site Changes after more than 3 days
My son uses the Ominipod and therefore we MUST change every three days, but
even going three days makes me nervous. I have heard it's better to change a
child's site every two days because the growing body will react to a foreign
body quicker. We have noticed, although rarely, the third day produces high
numbers. And we had a site infection that I wish not to experience again. May
have had nothing to do with duration - we'll never know. The pod will actually
remain active for 3 1/2 days, but I always feel like I'm playing with fire if I
go past the 3 day mark.
