His basals probably are helping to bring him into range -- they are set
highest in the morning. On Saturdays when he sleeps in he stays in range,
however, but he's obviously not moving around. We have tried giving him more
insulin at breakfast but that means crashing by lunch. I think the key is
giving
the breakfast insulin 20 mins or so before he eats but that is scary because
he is usually in range in the morning and he eats a lot of carbs for
breakfast (evil cold cereal carbs lol) so it is a big bolus. We are working up
our
nerve to try it.
