[IPp] Re: Renee's celiac reply

Thanks Renee, for such a detailed letter. As usual, you are a great source
of information, as well as inspiration for all of us. I would have written
this sooner, but I am plagued by server and e-mail problems!

I was fortunate when Claire was diagnosed at age 2, in a small city/town that
the local diabetes association was really great and supplied me with all the
back issues that I wanted of the canadian diabetes magazine. One of the first
articles I read was about Celiac disease and other auto-immune disorders
associated with diabetes. Claire had the simple blood test for celiac when she
was 6 and it was alright.

But with all the more recent stuff I've read, I've been meaning to have her
brother tested. He is now 14 and hasn't been well for years, is very skinny,
tired all the time etc. Renee you listed some great info for me to pass on to
the GP (since moving he is no longer under the care of a specialist) in case
she balks at ordering the test of an entire celiac panel.
