Re: [IPp] site changes

We are not pumping yet, but we just finished Jeremy's saline trial. I
learned previously from this list that tea trea oil was a good thing for
getting the adhesive off. I liked that it has antiseptic qualities also.

Jeremy thought it worked great. It is oily and he didn't complain about any
stinging -- just that it smelled like a tree. (Does that even count as a
complaint?) I can live with that! ;)

I was glad I had it in the house. The tape did not cause a problem for him,
just the little white circle around the cannula area. We will probably put
tape down first, when we do it for real.

Good luck! Sounds like you are doing great!!!

I have yet another question....two actually.

1. IF your children are low before a meal...what do you do? Do you suspend,
do you treat with a juice? do you count the juice as part of the meal carbs
when bolusing....or do you reduce the bolus ..leaving out the carbs for the
juice?

2. I am having a hard time removing the adhesive when I do a site change.
We
use the silhouettes, and believe me, so far they stick great....how do I get
it off??
