Re: [IPp] Re: switching a child from Humalog to Novolog

we rarely have bs all in the normal range for a day even with testing every 2
hrs around the clock for a month and changing basals, etc. often part of the
day is normal and part is low followed by hi's the rest of the nite. or she
wakes up low and then runs normal all day followed by more lows.
this is of course when she is cooperative and eats and boluses and tests like
she should.
i think once in 4 yrs of diab we had like two and half days of bs in the
80-180 range maybe twice.
and doing partial day/nite testing fasting her basals are right on as well as
her boluses for bs and foods/carbs.
she has been dx several times by several medical people as brittle, even tho
the term supposedly doesn't exist. however her endo is usually happy with her
which until lately had been in the 7's with one 8.1 followed by 7.8.
prior to pumping she was like this but normal bs were only hit upon randomly
as they passed thru hi/low periods.
