Re: [IPp] Pump problems

Dear Helen:

We had the almost identical problems as you for the first 4 months on the
pump using humalog. Site problems, redness, sites lasting only 1-2 days.
We read about Novolog and asked the endo about a switch. He did not think
that it would make any difference, but had a sample and said go ahead and
try. Well, not only did it make a difference, but a HUGE difference. WE
are getting 3 days no problem with the site, the sites are healing much
faster, and Emily's bgs are MUCH better. If you don't try you will never
know.....hope it helps. By the way, she is also on a very smal basal rate,
between .1 and .2.

Hope this helps,

Mom of Emily,9, dxd 9/11/01
