Re: [IPp] Out of control flu (or, rather, stomach virus)

Mary,

My heart just aches everytime one of these kids is whammied with another
health problem, no matter what it is. I wish I had something to offer besides
my support, but you sound like you have tried all of the common sense things.
How scary for all of you, and just unfair!!

The liver ailment sure sounds suspicious and I would pursue that option as a
cause when you catch your breath. My daughter had an H-pylori bacteria
(easily found with a blood test -- but you have to be looking for it) that
caused a lot of nausea, but not anything near the vomiting you are describing.
We
were lucky that our Endo worked closely with a pediatric
G-I specialist to help get the belly back in order. That might also be
something to explore, but make sure they have a little experience with diabetes
or you will end up with a similar frustration as you had with the first ER
doc.

Good luck to your son and your family

Lee (mom to Eleanor Gray -- 15, diagnosed 6/03, Cosmo 4/04)
