Ironically, I always wanted to work with children with diabetes and did a
lot of volunteer work in college.  My career as a dietitian didn't go that
way upon graduation.  It wasn't until my daughter was diagnosed that I got
the kick in the pants to pursue what I knew I always wanted to do.   I love
being a trainer, I love doing the nutrition diabetes education - and I
re-live my daughter's diagnosis and the stress everytime I counsel newly
diagnosed families.  However, it is therapeutic and wouldn't change a thing.
I only regret that it did take my daughter to be diagnosed to do it.

Just curious - Were you already in the diabetes / pump training  field when
your daughter was diagnosed or is that something you pursued after
