Also, don't forget Osgood-Schlatter's disease, which my son has.  The bones
in the lower legs grow faster than the muscles and tendons in the knees can
accomodate and they end up with really big nobby kneecaps and although it is
supposed to be "in remission" when the kids stop growing, my son still has
probs w/it.
