Re: [IPp] infusion set problems

That could be hard to determine whether it is the sets or another problem.
It could be that she is starting to get sick, her basal rates, bolus doses,
or ISF is changing, etc. I would call your endo or local pump company rep
and ask them if they have another type of infusion set that you could try.
That might help you isolate the problem as the infusion sets rather than
something else. When my son first started pumping he used the Insets and
they didn't work out for him. He was too thin to support them, so the
boluses would sting him and his bg was higher than normal. Our Animas rep
was great. She said that she thought it would help to change to the angled
sets and gave us a few samples of the Comfort shorts to use until the ones
that we had ordered from Animas arrived. Animas even offered to overnight us
the new Comfort sets because they knew the problems we were having with the
Insets. Just a suggestion. I hope you find a solution.
