Re: [IPp] Saline Start

Hi

How exciting.. Feb 27, 2001, we had the H trons delivered and taught to us
at home. My daughter wore hers with saline and I wore the other one. We both
tested our blood sugars every time we ate, every 2 hours after we ate, and
at bedtime, 11 pm and 3 am. We bolused for what we thought we would need for
carb exchange and we learned alot by doing so. NOW...I am not diabetic but I
did this to make sure I knew what she was doing and how it felt. Most pump
companies will loan you a loaner pump to do this so call tomorrow and ask
ASAP. if you want this.

I know many never start with saline but for us it was a great learning
experience and one we would not trade in for anything else other than a cure
with no side effects.

I am thrilled for you and make sure you have the Book...Pumping Insulin 3rd
edition as it is the pumper's Bible. It will make things feel alot easier
when you can open and book and see things explained so well.

All the best and keep us posted on how things go.
