RE: [IPp] Re: pop-digest V1 #46

Thanks to all that gave me advice regarding swimming and keeping the sites
on. We are finally on the quick sets and they are great!! Christopher swam
all weekend without a site change! We did use the Mastisol with it. A
little tricky to get off with the Detachol but I am sure we will get used to
it.

We also are trying Novalog! Our endo will not prescribe it to kids claiming
that there has not been substantial clinical studies done in the young kids.
But, when we were at the office last week trying the quicksets, I showed the
CDE the cannula of the softset and the crystallization was so evident from
the Humalog (after only 20 hours since last site change) that another doctor
signed for the Novalog. So far, no crystallization and numbers seem good.
We are only 3 days into the Novalog so I hope things continue to look this
good!

My son Jake has been swimming the last two days after baseball practice and
his site has been fine just using the MM Quicksets. He doesn't prep the site

w/ anything, but always bathes before a site change. This works even w/ ball

practices and sweating!(He plays on a tournament team and a league team, so
we practice every day; sometimes twice a day and it sticks fine as long as
he
bathes first.) Hope this helps, Trena (mom to Jake 11)
